Jane’s Dependancy bass participant Eric Avery says he’s working with the band’s drummer Stephen Perkins and guitarist Dave Navarro on new music – however his announcement made no point out of singer Perry Farrell.
The band are formally on hiatus following a public falling out by which Farrell appeared to cost and try and punch a visibly shocked Navarro on stage in Boston in September 2024.
They introduced the hiatus a couple of days later, cancelling a string of dates that remained on their North American tour.
Within the wake of Farrell’s outburst, he was described by his spouse Etty as a “crazed beast” who was coping with rising frustrations on the tour.
Avery, Navarro and Perkins launched an announcement saying they have been heartbroken to must cancel the tour, a choice they put right down to a “persevering with sample of behaviour and the psychological well being difficulties of our singer Perry Farrell.”
Now, lower than 4 months later, it appears the three musicians are planning to proceed working collectively – though whether or not that is beneath the Jane’s Dependancy banner or not is unclear. And it is also unclear what, if something, Farrell’s involvement shall be.
The singer is the one member of the band not named in Avery’s Instagram submit.
Within the submit, Avery is seen recording bass components in a studio video. It’s posted alongside the message: “Writing some extra new strains to a few of Stephen’s drumming. Stay up for getting some Mr Navarro on them. 2025!”
Simply weeks earlier than the onstage incident and ensuing hiatus, Jane’s Addiciton shared the music Imminent Redemption – the primary single from the unique line-up in 34 years.
