JD Kelleher ignited a motion of self-reclamation together with his newest single. In Flip It Round, the queer Irish singer-songwriter spins funk-laced indie pop into an unshakable pressure of uplifting empowerment. Wrapped in euphoric grooves that strut between disco rhythms and rock ‘n’ roll licks, the monitor is a pulsating testomony to resilience. There’s no saccharine preaching right here—simply the hard-earned knowledge of somebody who has clawed their manner again from the brink and now provides a hand to anybody spiralling downward.
No stranger to creating waves, Kelleher has spent the previous 12 months dominating the UK Dance/Membership Chart High Ten with remix-fuelled anthems, hitting Quantity 7 with Take The Mon€y & Run. His knack for injecting recent power into pop-rock shines once more in Flip It Round, which drops on February twenty first, adopted by remixes in March, together with a euphoric rework from seventh Heaven.
Together with his Catalan bandmates Jimmy Pinol, David Ibarz, Marti Rieira, and Alex Badia, Kelleher continues a legacy of defiant, joy-fuelled releases. From topping the Irish Rock Chart with Love Will Tear Us Aside in the course of the Marriage Equality referendum to his soul-stirring tackle Over The Rainbow, his music is a pressure of resistance towards the anti-LGBT+ rhetoric which is now digitally in Vogue.
The official video for Flip It Round will premiere on February 21st; watch it on YouTube.
