Vijunns (pronounced “visions”) is the audio-visual mission of LA-based music producer and artwork director Jeremy Raskin. Since 2018, Raskin has explored the terrain between ambient and techno, carving out an area past rave euphoria and the contemplative depths of electronica wealthy with lucid imagery and immersive storytelling.

At present Vijunns shares new single “Undone,” from their forthcoming new LP, Collapse, which is out on Sept. 23. Raskin provides some context for the monitor:

“This monitor was one of many first sketches I created once I began writing for this file. The undertones of this music created the roadmap for writing what would turn into Collapse. To me, ‘Undone’ is conceptually the anchor of this file.”

This unity of sound and idea reveals new territory for Raskin on Collapse, a self-described ‘soundtrack to the tip of the world’ that explores the tensions defining our present socio-political epoch.

Raskin continues to increase his post-IDM palette with modular and 90s-era digital synthesis, lacing the sonics of his prior works with an undertone of darkness, which lends a weighty grit to his trademark sound. Slightly than bask in IDM’s solipsistic introspection, he as a substitute applies its sharp edges and diffuse vapors to render a world in disarray.
