Monitor Premiere: Marrowomb – ‘Phantasia Katalepteke’

Chicago blackened demise metallic outfit Marrowomb is the brainchild of 1 Frank Lato, who handles the guitar, bass, synth and vocal duties within the band alongside session drummer Kevin Paradis (Benighted). The ensuing product is Phisenomie, Marrowomb’s debut album, a potent concoction that walks the road between technical, symphonic and basic demise metallic. Although Phisenomie doesn’t come out till February 21, Decibel has an unique premiere of “Phantasia Katalepteke,” second monitor launched from Marrowomb’s debut.

Because the opening monitor, it packs all the pieces one would wish to learn about a brand new band in a simple 4 minutes and 44 seconds.

“This was one of many first songs that was absolutely written and it ended up setting the stage for the remainder of the file,” Lato tells Decibel. “It closely contributed to my motivation for creating the remainder of the album. I recall having to make little to no tweaks to its type, and I used to be fairly joyful about how naturally all of it occurred. That is in distinction to a number of the opposite songs, which took way more work to compose. I selected Phantasia because the opening monitor for the album resulting from its velocity, simplistic stream, and memorability. The principle lyrical themes revolve across the duality of self and the way one can battle with two (and even a number of) methods to current oneself outwardly. And in that battle, it will possibly generally be onerous to know which one feels essentially the most genuine. This ties into the overarching theme of the album.”

Test it out beneath; Phisenomie is accessible for pre-order through Bandcamp.
