Alex Van Halen’s relationship together with his former Van Halen bandmate Sammy Hagar has been rocky for years – one thing that was made abundantly clear when Alex refused to say Hagar in his lately launched memoir “Brothers.”

“Alex wasn’t the songwriter within the band. He was the drummer. Eddie and I wrote the songs. Dave [Lee Roth] and Eddie wrote the songs, and so we are able to exit and do them. And I feel that basically bothers him that Mike and I are nonetheless on the market doing it. I’d really feel dangerous. If I put myself in his sneakers, I’d really feel horrible if I couldn’t do it anymore. However I’m the happiest man out of all of them. That pisses individuals off in itself.
