Taking Again Sunday drummer Mark O’Connell has introduced his departure from the band.
He took to Instagram earlier right this moment (January 07), posting an announcement explaining the choice.
He writes “After almost 25 years because the drummer of Taking Again Sunday, I need to affirm that I’m now not with the band. It’s taken me a while to deal with this. Thanks on your persistence as I’ve mirrored on learn how to share my story.
First, I need to thank the followers — your love and help have meant the whole lot to me. You’ve been the heartbeat of TBS, and an enormous a part of my life for almost 1 / 4 of a century. I owe all of it to you.“
He continues, “My departure wasn’t a simple resolution, and it wasn’t solely my very own. Over the previous few years, I’ve targeted on my household and private progress, together with committing to my sobriety. Sadly, throughout this time, I didn’t at all times really feel the help I wanted from these I considered brothers, and artistic variations made it arduous to maneuver ahead collectively.
Talking of, I’m excited to share that I’ll be releasing new music quickly — each as a solo artist and with some previous associates.
