The Beths Share Video For New Tune “Mom, Pray for Me”

The Beths are releasing a brand new album, Straight Line Was a Lie, on August 29 through ANTI-. Now they’ve shared its third single, “Mom, Pray for Me,” through a music video. Watch it beneath.

The Beths are the New Zealand-based quartet of vocalist Elizabeth Stokes, guitarist Jonathan Pearce, bassist Benjamin Sinclair, and drummer Tristan Deck.

A press launch says that on the brand new single “Stokes grapples with the lives her dad and mom have led, their mortality, and methods to see them as individuals who did their greatest, even when it won’t have felt like sufficient.”

Stokes additional explains: “I cried the entire time writing it. It’s not likely about my mom, it’s about me—what I hope our relationship is, what I believe it’s, what it perhaps truly is, and what I can or can’t count on out of it.”

They beforehand shared the album’s first single “Steel” which was one among our Songs of the Week. Then when the album was introduced they shared its second single, “No Pleasure,” additionally one among our Songs of the Week (at #1).

They launched their final full-length Professional in a Dying Discipline in 2022. Straight Line Was a Lie may also be their first launch since signing to their new label ANTI-.
