The Centre for Opera Research & Appreciation (COSA) Presents A Pop Up Live performance February 9

Dr. Darryl Edwards: Professor of Voice Research, College of Toronto would be the host of a pop up live performance titled Trying Forward — WE SING! It takes place February 9, that includes 4 completely different choirs, three soloists, and 4 conductors.

This system gives a kaleidoscopic sampling of choral and vocal repertoire, together with works by Canadian composers Alice Ping Yee Ho and Kelly-Marie Murphy, and a world premiere by by Yuhan Zhou.

Dr. Darryl Edwards

Dr. Darryl Edwards holds a B.Mus., B.Ed., M.Mus. from the College of Western Ontario, and a D.M.A. from the College of Michigan. He’s the Inventive Director of the Centre for Opera Research in Italy and COSA Canada (Centre for Opera Research & Appreciation).

Each organizations are dedicated to serving to rising opera artists develop their abilities and potential.

As an in demand educator, he’s usually invited to show grasp lessons and provides lectures all over the world, together with on the Royal School of Music in London, the Beijing Conservatory, and Charles College in Prague, amongst many others.

His college students seem on phases throughout North America and internationally, together with The Metropolitan Opera, Royal Opera Covent Backyard, Bayerische Staatsoper, Chicago Lyric Opera, and Toronto’s personal Canadian Opera Firm.

Edwards can be an acclaimed tenor whose performances have included operas, recitals, and oratorios throughout Canada and the US, and in Europe.

The Program

To open the live performance, Joseph Amato, composer and music director of the PEN Training Centre, will conduct the PEN Academy Wind Ensemble in Ready, considered one of his personal compositions.
